Doubble Negative

The Double Negatives are furniture pieces made of leather waste from the furniture industry. The first negative is the raw edge of the hide produced in the tanning process at Tärnsjö tannery, which derives from the animal. The second negative are the edges left once the furniture company Källemo have used the material needed for their production from the hide. The double negatives are put together with indicative seams that differs by the negative origins, in this way the waste itself sets the designed outcome
